Sanyo currently is third tier, disposable junk, almost as bad the Westinghouse suggested! Buy cheap and you’ll wind up paying twice!
I KNOW this is not what you want to here and you are looking for some subjective (look it up) crap telling you it’s o.k., but it’s not. Read this before you buy – http://www.hdguru.com/your-new-disposable-flat-panel-hdtv/107/ There is NO CHEAP WAY into HDTV quality.
Sanyo is good but here is a better deal if your in the market for a nice flate screen tv. Heres the states on it and a great prices for less then $700.

I have a 46 inch Sanyo 1080 LCD HD TV [1] year old , top 6 inches of screen is black until the thing warms up . I cant get any body to want to work on it, or how can tell me the problem with it . Im still looking ,next time Ill get something differint.
I got a sanyo 46 inch 1080 LCD at walmart and got a 2 year service agreement. GOOD IDEA!!! When it was less than a year old part of the screen would turn black and fade in and out. After about a month and repeated phone calls service techs came to my house and replaced the screen panel, which is basicly the whole TV. Well guess what, 4 months later it starts doing the same thing but this time they came and got the tv and it is in the shop now. One more time and i will give it back to walmart.I know that when the service agreement runs out I will be stuck with a 1100 dollar peice of junk. I would not recomend this TV to anyone, looking on the enternet I see a lot of people have this problem BUYER BEWARE
THE SAGA CONTINUES:: After having my 46″ sanyo repaired for the second time for the same problem the service techs brought the TV back and hooked it up and while they were talking, my wife noticed that the screen was doing the same thing as before. the techs could not beleive it and took the TV back to the shop AGAIN!!!!My service contract states that after 3 times it is considered a lemon and you can get your money back. I do not think it is a lemon, i think it is a peice of CRAP!!!! Surf the net and you will see that a lot of people are having this problem. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE.
THE SAGA ENDS;; I got a call from the service contract people about my 46″ sanyo TV that is still in the shop and has been repaired 3 times now. They said they would not repair it again and that they would send me a new 46″ sony or JVC TV. Walmart does not sell the sanyo anymore because of all the complaints. I will never buy a sanyo product again. They should MAN up and recall these peices of CRAP. If they sold these TVS for 100 dollars I would not buy one. I guess I will try the sony and hope for better luck.
